Producer/Director Paula McTaggart worked in the UK music industry for many years before returning to New Zealand in 2005 setting up The Bigger Picture post production with then partner award winning editor Simon Coldrick.
Her first documentary 'Strongman - The Tragedy' attracted the attention of acclaimed New Zealand filmmaker Dame Gaylene Preston DNZM who came on board as executive producer and drama director.
Strongman - The Tragedy went on to win best documentary feature at the 2012 New Zealand film awards and was nominated in four other categories - Cinematography, Sound Design, Music, Costume & Makeup.
Paula's latest production 'Runanga - Home of Champions' is a short form film series telling the story of a small New Zealand town with an exceptional past, a town that produced an amazing array of champions throughout its history.
